Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the new GLE LWB in India with a starting price of Rs 96.4 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has introduced three variants of the GLE, offering both petrol and diesel powertrains, as well as an AMG line option. Bookings for the GLE are now open, and deliveries for the GLE 450 and GLE 300d will commence in November, while deliveries for the GLE 450d are scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2024. Mercedes-Benz GLE LWB
The recently unveiled GLE features a refreshed design, including a redesigned front profile with an updated bumper, a single-slat front grille, and subtly tweaked LED headlamps. At the rear, the SUV showcases slightly revised bumpers and tail lights. The 450 and 450d models are equipped with new 20-inch alloy wheels, while the 300d variant sports 19-inch alloy wheels. The brand has introduced the SUV in a choice of five colors: Polar White, High Tech Silver, Selenite Grey, Obsidian Black, and Sodalite Blue.
Inside, the GLE maintains a similar layout but incorporates a host of new features. The GLE 300d 4Matic includes amenities like the Burmester 3D sound system, MBUX with NTG7, wireless connectivity, 100W fast-charging ports, an electric rear seat sunblind, electrically adjustable rear seats, and a 4-zone climate control system, among other offerings. On the safety front, it comes equipped with features like a transparent bonnet, active parking assist, keyless go package, 9 airbags, blindspot assist, and underbody protection, among others.
On the other hand, the GLE 450 and 450d models offer additional features, including the AIRMATIC suspension, ventilated front seats, the Air Balance package, Multibeam LED headlights, and a Head-up display.

Mercedes-Benz GLE Powertrains
The newly released GLE is offered in three different variants. The first variant, the GLE 350d, is equipped with a 2.0-liter diesel engine that generates 265 bhp of power and 550Nm of peak torque. The GLE 450 comes with a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine delivering 375 bhp of power and 500 Nm of peak torque. The GLE 450d is powered by a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder diesel engine producing 362 bhp of power and 750 Nm of peak torque. All these engines are paired with automatic transmissions and feature 48V mild-hybrid technology with ISG (Integrated Starter Generator).
