Upcoming MG Cloud EV New Spy Shots Emerge
Initial spy shots of the MG Cloud EV suggest a fusion of SUV and crossover aesthetics in its design. The Indian iteration is anticipated to closely resemble the global counterpart, showcasing a curved front facia adorned with distinct split headlights. Connected LED DRLs stretch across the top of the front grille, accompanied by prominent headlights integrated into the bumper. Along the side profile, clean lines define an elongated roofline and smooth contours. notably, a charging port is clearly visible on the front left fender, while the vehicle sits comfortably on 18-inch drag-reduction alloy wheels that fill the wheel arches neatly.
At the rear, although not visible in these spy shots, the Cloud EV exudes a sleek and understated design philosophy. A chrome strip runs gracefully along the shoulder line, neatly separating the body from the window line and providing a subtle contrast to the body color. The taillight gets a connected light strip that spans the width of the tailgate. For the Indian-spec model, it could get some country-specific tweaks, potentially integrating localised modifications to align with regulatory and market demands.

It achieves an impressive range of 460 km according to CLTC standards. Some global markets also offer a variant with a 37.9 kWh battery pack, providing a claimed range of 360 km. The Cloud EV supports DC fast charging, allowing the 50.6 kWh battery to charge from 30% to 100% in just 30 minutes. Using an AC home charger, charging from 20% to 100% takes approximately 7 hours. However, the specific powertrain configuration for the Indian market is still under consideration.
