MG Gloster Facelift: The JSW MG Motor is all set to come up with the all-new Gloster Facelift this year. The upcoming Gloster facelift will get some major updates inside and out. This will be a mid-cycle update for the SUV since it made its India debut in 2020. The Gloster offers better features than its rivals in the market like Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. Upcoming MG Gloster
The all-new Gloster is expected to make its way to India before the festive season. While, the Gloster's new rival, the Nissan X-Trail is also going to launch this month, the Gloster Facelift will continue to rival the Toyota Fortuner.
MG Gloster: Updates
The recent spy shots of the Gloster Facelift come from the Belgaum-Dharwad highway located in Karnataka. Although the test mules had heavy camouflage on them, some key design elements were visible. Some of the major design upgrades will include new and sleek headlamps and DRLs, updated grille and front bumper. The upcoming Gloster facelift will derive some of its design elements from the new Hector as well.
We have seen no major update in the side profile of the upcoming SUV. Additionally, it will feature a new rear bumper and tail lights. We are not sure if the test mule was equipped with prod-spec alloy wheels, but they were the same ones that come with the currently available Gloster in India.
In addition to this, the new Gloster will get a new colour scheme for the cabin, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, new bumper. The updated Gloster will probably derive its infotainment unit from the new Hector.
MG Gloster Facelift: Powertrain
The upcoming Gloster update will get the same 2.0-litre turbo diesel and 2.0-litre twin-turbo unit. Both powertrains are linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Talking about the power figures, the turbo diesel unit makes 159 bhp and 370 Nm while the twin-turbo is capable of making 213 bhp and 480 Nm.
