Morris Garages entered the Indian market with the Hector SUV which attracted the customers and sold in good numbers. Now MG Motor is gearing up to foray in the 2020 Auto Expo with their new portfolio models, one of which is the 2020 Hector 6-seater. We have noticed some spy images flowing on social media before but these images new ones give us a clear insight into the 2020 MG Hector.
The MG Hector 6-seater will share its mechanicals with the current MG Hector but will sport some new uplifts in terms of aesthetics. Shown in the pictures are the new set of LED DRLs which proudly sit on the top. These LED DRLs have a new pattern with chrome inserts to differentiate it from current Hector. Down below are the all-LED headlamps which are now covered in a new chrome surrounded casing. The huge front grille now has a different pattern with loads of chrome inside to satisfy your blingy chrome needs. the front bumper will also get a revamped design.
The side is reminiscent to the current Hector and it still sits on 17-inch dual-tone alloys which eventually gives gigantic wheel arch gapes and they have been criticised a lot and look out on place with the tall body of the Hector. The spy shots also give hints of the rear profile which has also received some updates. The taillamps now look sleek and also sports a new pattern in them. There is also a new skid plate fixed on the bumper with chrome surrounded Faux exhaust tips, the actual exhaust muffler still hangs absurdly down below the bumper.
We expect MG will give comfortable captain seats in the middle row just like what Suzuki has given to XL6. Rest of the interiors will largely remain the same as the MG Hector. Coming to the engine options, Hector 6-seater will get the same 2.0-litre Fiat sourced diesel engine and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine but both will be BS6 compliant. Power figures of both the engines will remain the same after the compliance of BS6 emission norms.

Although we can't guess the pricing now as it's too early and we resist us being too optimistic but once launched, it will gain rivalry with 2020 Mahindra XUV 500, Tata Gravitas, Tata Hexa and Toyota Innova.
