MG Motor India has filed yet another trademark of a Wuling EV in India. The brand has trademarked the Wuling Binguo EV, which is expected to be a new EV by MG Motor in India. The Binguo is a sub-4 meter hatchback that could be positioned above the Comet EV in MG's Indian lineup. Wuling Binguo - Design, Features, & Specifications
The Wuling Binguo features a curvaceous design language. At the front, it boasts a diamond-shaped parametric grille and a round X-shaped LED headlamp setup. On the sides, it gets 15-inch steel wheels with a wheel cover, and a sloping coupe-like roofline which enhances its side profile. Moving to the rear, it gets a wraparound LED tail lamp. Overall the round design highlight looks good on the EV. Dimensionwise it measures 3,950 mm in length, 1,708 mm in width, and 1,580 mm in height.
On the interior front, it gets dual dual-tone treatment with perforated leather upholstery, round air-conditioning vents, and two 10.25-inch connected screens like the Comet EV, steering-mounted controls, the steering design is similar to the Comet EV as well, a rotary gear selector, 6-way adjustable driver seat electric parking brake among other features. The safety net of the EV includes dual airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, ISOFIX, electric parking brake with auto hold, TPMS, and rear parking camera with sensors among others.

Wuling Binguo - Battery & Specifications
In the international market, the Binguo comes with two battery pack options 31.9 kWh and 37.9 kWh. The former gives a claimed range of 333 km and the latter gives a range of 410 km. Both the battery pack variants are paired with a 50 kW drive motor.
Verdict
MG Motor India has filed the new patent which seems to be a step towards enhancing its electric vehicle lineup in India. The brand might give a new name to the Binguo for the Indian market. The new EV will be placed above the MG Comet EV in India. If launched in India the Binguo is expected to get a price tag of Rs 11.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
