The new Thar was recently launched in the Indian car market and became one of the most talked-about cars in the industry. The new Thar has not just grown in size but is now offered as a much better vehicle which has better practicality, comfort levels and much more improved driving dynamics. In addition to this, the Thar continues to be a capable vehicle off the road and here is a modified Mahindra Thar diesel manual which features a number of modifications which have been done by BIMBRA 4X4 to further enhance its off-roading capabilities.
For starters, the car gets a new front grille in addition to LED headlights with LED DRLs. The stock bumper too has been replaced with a metal off-road bumper which results in a better approach angle to take on the off-road obstacles. Other noticeable changes at the front include the addition of a metal skid plate which protects the radiator and other important components of the car. It is worth noting that the stock fog lamp housings have been retained while the halogen bulb has been replaced with more powerful LED bulbs.

In addition to this, the car also gets LED bars at the top which will be useful while using the vehicle in the light and during the highspeed highway runs. Apart from this, there are no changes made to the front profile of the vehicle. The stock tyres on the other hand have been replaced with BFGoodrich tyres which are known for their off-road capabilities. The owner has retained the stock alloys which in my opinion was a great decision as these complement the overall character of the vehicle.
Other changes made to the vehicle include the addition of a metal rock-slider which will definitely be more robust and durable in the long run. At the rear, the reflector has been replaced with red LED reflector light which will illuminate when the brakes are pressed. Other modifications include the addition of a removable tow hook which has a rated capacity of 5000 lb.

All the plastic components like the rear bumper, side cladding, hard rooftop, ORVMs, and the front bumper have been painted with Linux which is highly durable and prevents scratches keeping the components safe and undamaged for a long period. Cleaning the Linux coating too is a hassle-free process and it also acts a sealant for the rooftop, thus eliminating the water leakage inside the cabin.
The interiors, on the other hand, are largely similar to the stock version except for the addition of front and rear armrests, a CB radio, and a switch bar to control various electronics. The arm rest was definitely missed in the stock Thar and is a must-have add-on for the vehicle. The rear armrests also feature 12V charging socket as standard.
