Jawa Motorcycles is an Iconic Two-wheeler manufacturer. Jawa has a very strong cult status and fan-following in our country. The company made its comeback in India in the year 2018 and it is now owned by Classic Legends (a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group). Jawa's Indian portfolio currently has only three BS6-compliant motorcycles. They are Jawa Classic, Forty Two and the Jawa Perak. It's been a long time and the company has not launched any new product or an updated version of its existing motorcycle. But soon, the bikemaker will launch a new variant of the Jawa Forty Two. The upcoming new 2021 Jawa 42 with alloy wheels has been recently spied on test in India.
Currently, the Jawa Forty Two which is on sale in India gets spoke wheels with tubed tyres. Also, though the Jawa Forty Two looks less blingy when compared to the regular Jawa Classic which is drenched in chrome, it still gets a lot of chrome accents and aluminium inserts. Nowadays, most of the youngsters prefer blacked-out parts on their motorcycle and also tubeless tyres with alloy wheels as the tubeless tyres and alloy wheels are generally much better than the spoke rims with tubed tyres. Now, as we all know that the Jawa Forty Two is very popular among the youths and so the company is planning to give it the much-needed updates to lure the youthful buyers.
Now, as you can see in the above image, recently a test mule of the Jawa 42 with alloy wheels was spied on test in India. The motorcycle was caught on camera while doing test rounds on the outskirts of Pune in Maharashtra. It can be clearly seen that the test mule was equipped with alloy wheels and most likely tubeless tyres too. Also, the test mule of the motorcycle gets a lot of blacked-out elements like the blacked-out dual exhaust, radiator shrouds and even the suspension components both at the front as well as at the rear are also finished in black. The test mule was also equipped with some new add-ons which will be most likely offered as accessories. For instance, it was sporting a new grab rail, a small blacked-out flyscreen and also new seats.

The mechanicals of the motorcycle will remain the same as before. The BS6 Jawa Classic and the Jawa Forty-Two get the same mill. Both these new retro motorcycles are powered by a BS6-compliant 293cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This new mill churns out 26.51 PS of maximum power and 27.05 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. The suspension duties on the Jawa Forty-Two are handled by chunky telescopic forks at the front while at the rear, it gets twin gas-charged shock absorbers. The braking duties on the bike are performed by a front disc brake while at the rear one can opt between a drum or a disc unit. Also, it is available in both single-channel ABS as well as dual-channel ABS versions. The price of the Jawa 42 BS6 is mentioned in the table below:
