The updated model will undergo notable changes to its plastic components, with minimal updates to the sheet metal. Key modifications encompass a redesigned front bumper, featuring distinct versions for GT Line and HT Line, as well as revised headlamps with vertically extending drop-down elements. Furthermore, adjustments to the daytime running lamp signature and fog lamp housings contribute to the refreshed aesthetics.
The overall profile retains a familiar look, marked by variations in chrome accents, body cladding, and updated elements such as new plastic wheel caps and alloy wheel designs. The rear of the facelifted model highlights vertical tail lamps connected by an LED light bar, along with an updated bumper boasting a dual-tone finish. Although the international version has been unveiled, reports suggest that the Sonet facelift bound for India will showcase distinctive styling touches.
Interior And Updates
The revamped Sonet facelift will introduce modifications to its dashboard layout, featuring new switchgear and potentially incorporating screens from the Seltos facelift. Some variants are anticipated to showcase an all-new instrument cluster, reminiscent of those found in the Venue and the Carens. Additionally, the interior aesthetics of the compact SUV is poised to get new upholstery shades across the entire lineup.
Engine Details
The Sonet facelift will retain its existing engine lineup, including a 1.2-litre petrol engine generating 83hp and 115Nm, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 120hp and 172Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine delivering 116hp and 250Nm. The 1.2-litre petrol engine is expected to be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Meanwhile, the turbo-petrol and diesel engines will continue with the 6-speed iMT. Furthermore, there are discussions about reintroducing a diesel manual variant in certain versions. The turbo-petrol and diesel engines will also offer a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 6-speed automatic, respectively.
