Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 has been officially unveiled globally at the EICMA 2023 in Italy today. The new Himalayan has received a complete overhaul in design, a new engine, & latest features. Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 - Is It The Best RE Ever?
While there is a little that was still unknown about the new Himalayan, it has now officially debuted in Italy, at EICMA. The new Himalayan gets a completely new chassis, a brand new design, & the first-ever liquid-cooled engine by RE. The new model is going to be sold in two variants which are basically differentiated via the accessories chosen. One is called 'Rally' while the other is 'Off-road'. Additionally, it'll be globally sold in 5 different colours - Kaza Brown, Kamet White, Hanel Black, Slate Poppy Blue, & Slate Himalayan Salt.
Powering it is the first-ever single-cylinder, 452cc, liquid-cooled engine which makes 40 bhp of peak power & 40 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a new 6-speed gearbox with a slipper-assist clutch. Additionally, the specs are all-new as well. It now gets USD front suspension, wider rear tyre, 220mm of ground clearance, & a 17-lt fuel tank. Moreover, it is the first-ever RE to get a fully digital instrument console with Google Maps integration as well as Bluetooth phone connectivity. Also, it gets two ride modes - Eco & Performance.
Verdict
RE has officially revealed the bike in Italy today. Also, the bookings for it open today in India. Meanwhile, the pricing of it is still unknown as it'll be only revealed at the upcoming Motoverse show in Goa. The deliveries of the first lot in India will begin from 24 November. We expect its pricing to remain around Rs 2.75 lakh to Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom).
