Tata Tiago is a very popular entry-level hatchback in the Indian market. The Tiago was first launched in India in the year 2016 and it became an instant hit. Fast forward to 2020 and in January this year, the company gave the Tiago a mid-life update. It got a BS6-compliant engine, newly revised looks, some new features and these updates made it better than ever before! Tata Motors is continuously making necessary updates in the Tiago to make it even finer. Now recently, the company has changed the service interval of the new Tata Tiago to give the customers a peaceful ownership experience.
Tata Motors has changed the service interval of the new Tiago from six months to one year or 15,000 kilometres, whichever is earlier. Previously, the Tiago owners had to get their cars serviced every six months but now the servicing timeline has been revised and extended to one year. However, it is worth mentioning that this revised service schedule will be applicable to the new facelifted Tiago BS6 only. The owners of the pre-facelift BS4-compliant Tiago will likely have to get their cars serviced every six months. Talking about the warranty period on the new Tata Tiago BS6, the company provides a standard warranty of two years or 75,000 kilometres on this car.
The customers can also extend the warranty on this entry-level hatch for up to three years or 75,000 kilometres, four years or one 1,00,00 kilometres and five years or 1,25,000 kilometres. Being an entry-level Tata hatchback, it is very affordable on the maintenance front too. Talking about the powertrain option on offer, so the new Tata Tiago Facelift gets a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This petrol motor churns out 86 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 113 Nm of peak torque at 3300 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT.
