Next-Gen Honda Amaze: Modern, Feature-Rich, and Safe
The Amaze sedan has been the entry-level product in India for Honda since the discontinuation of the Jazz hatchback. With its subtle design, spacious interiors, and reliable engine, it has been a primary choice for family car buyers. However, it's been a long since Honda updated it in India. The current model has started to feel outdated and the sales volume is also not very applauding.
With the next-gen Amaze, Honda will refresh its lineup in multiple ways. Firstly, it'll get a new design and more features. The platform will also change as it'll be based on the Elevate or City platform. Hence, the cycle parts will be more and the cost will also be reasonable. The exterior design will be similar to the global lineup design language.
Moreover, the interiors will also be revamped with a new dashboard and a bigger infotainment screen similar to the Elevate. Honda is also expected to equip it with the latest connected technologies like wireless phone charging, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.
Underneath the bonnet, the next-gen Amaze will continue using the same engine as on the current model. The 1.2-lt, naturally aspirated petrol unit will be offered with the option of a 5-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission. The new design and better features will make it costlier by a few thousand at least. The upcoming model will compete with popular rivals like Maruti Dzire and Hyundai Aura.
Verdict
Honda India plans to launch the new Amaze around the Diwali festive season 2024. With its new design and added features, the next-gen model will cater to more buyers. Also, the safety features are expected to increase as well. Tell us in the comments what you think about the next-generation of the Amaze sedan.
