Nissan Magnite Costs Rs 13.35 Lakh In South Africa - Gets Two Variants

The made in India Nissan Magnite is launched in South Africa with a starting price of R256 999 and going all the way up to R305 700. This price in INT costs Rs 13.35 lakh and Rs 15.88 lakh respectively. The Magnite is only sold in two variant and one engine option in South Africa.

Sharing the details of the engine and transmission option then it only gets the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit. This engine generates 99 bhp at 3000 RPM with a peak torque of 152 Nm at 160 Nm for the 5-speed manual transmission. The torque figures in CVT sticks to 152 Nm at 2200 RPM.

Commenting on the launch of Nissan Magnite in South Africa, Mr Stefan Hassbroek, Nissan South Africa Marketing Director said, In line with Nissans philosophy of continuous innovation and enriching experiences, we thought it fitting to have a launch that supports this narrative.

He also added, our market is bold, self-driven with go-for-it attitudes aligning to what the Nissan Magnite embodies. We are excited to finally have the Nissan Magnite on our South African shores and we cannot wait for you to experience it for yourself.

Like in India where the Magnite is available in four variants, the South African car market only gets two - Acenta and Acenta Plus. Both of these variants get features loaded up to the brim and are available with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard along with an optional CVT.

Feature-wise, the Magnite comes with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with modern connectivity features like an Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets an around view monitor or a 360-degree camera which gives you a virtual bird-eye view when you are parking the car in tight places. An automatic climate control, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, keyless entry, push-button start are some of the other features the Magnite receives.

Safet-wise, Nissan Magnite is equipped with an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, traction control, hill-start assist, vehicle dynamic control, speed-sensing door lock, dual airbags, central locking, ISOFIX mount child seats and among others.
