Nissan Motor India launched the all-new 2021 Nissan Magnite BS6 in the Indian market on December 2, 2020. The newly launched Nissan Magnite is the first sub-4-metre compact SUV from this Japanese car manufacturer in the Indian market. The company entered this lucrative segment with a bang as the prices of the Nissan Magnite undercut all its rivals by a huge margin. The all-new 2021 Nissan Magnite BS6 was recently launched in India at an introductory starting price of Rs. 4.99 lakhs and it went all the way up to Rs. 9.35 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. Thanks to the aggressive pricing, Nissan has received a phenomenal response for the Magnite in the Indian market. So, now what's good news is that the company has not hiked the prices of any variants of the Magnite, except for its base trim. Talking about the engine specifications of the Nissan Magnite, so it gets two petrol engine options with two different transmission options. It is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. This motor churns out 72 PS of power at 6250 RPM and 96 Nm of peak torque at 3500 RPM. It also gets an all-new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor churns out 100 PS of maximum power at 5000 RPM and 160 Nm of peak torque at 2800 - 3600 RPM (152 Nm of torque at 2200 - 4400 RPM for CVT). Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and the turbo petrol also gets a CVT. The Nissan Magnite is quite feature-loaded too. It is fairly loaded with goodies and this sub-4-metre compact SUV even gets some first in segment features.
As already mentioned before, the company has not hiked the prices of the Nissan Magnite and one can avail the benefits of the introductory pricing till further notice. Also, thanks to the aggressive pricing by the carmaker, the Nissan Magnite has been the talk of the town. This sub-compact SUV has received an overwhelming response from the Indian car buyers. Nissan says that the company has received over 32,800 bookings and more than 1,80,000 enquiries for the Magnite within just a month of its launch. Also, it needs to be mentioned that the Nissan Magnite has scored an impressive 4 Star Safety Rating at the ASEAN NCAP Crash Test. However, it's not clear whether the Magnite exported to the global markets is the exact same as the India-spec model or not. The company has also said that they are currently ramping up the production of the Magnite at its plant located in Chennai.
