Nissan India launched the Magnite in India in December 2020. It is the first sub-4-metre compact SUV from the house of this Japanese car manufacturer in the Indian market. The Magnite was launched in India at an introductory starting price of just Rs. 4.99 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. After a month, its base variant's price was hiked and then it received another hike in January 2021. Now, Nissan India has once again hiked the price of the Magnite. So, as you have seen in the above table, the price of the new Nissan Magnite has been hiked by upto 33,000 rupees. However, the company has not yet revealed the price of the top-spec XV Premium (O) variants of the compact SUV. The price of the new Magnite now ranges between Rs. 5.59 lakhs - 9.90 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. It rivals the likes of the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Honda WR-V and its sibling - Renault Kiger. Now, if we talk about its engine specifications, so the Nissan Magnite gets two petrol mills with two different transmission options.
The first one is a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that churns out 72 PS of power and 96 Nm of peak torque. It also gets a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This turbo petrol motor churns out 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and the turbo mill also gets a CVT.
