Nissan X-Trail Bookings Open
The official bookings of the Nissan X-Trail are now open from today, at a token amount of Rs. 1 lakh. Interstingly, it makes its India debut with just a single variant and a color selection of 3 shades namely- Paeal White, Diamond Black, and Champagne Silver. The pricing of this SUV is still not out, but being a CBU model, it will be priced at a slight premium than usual. Meanwhile, the brand has 150 units all set to be delivered to the customers who book it at the earliest and the deliveries will begin in August, after its price reveal on August 1.
The Nissan X-Trail will come equipped with a range of advanced features, including an 8-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, and connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It will also feature a panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake, cruise control, auto headlamps, and a touchscreen sensor door handle. Smart technologies such as moving object detection and a surround-view monitor will be included. For convenience, the X-Trail offers amenities like a rear defogger, paddle shifters, a wireless charging pad, tilt and telescopic steering adjustment, automatic dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone climate control, and rain-sensing wipers.
In terms of safety, the X-Trail provides comprehensive protection with 7 airbags, Vehicle Dynamic Control, traction control, front and rear parking sensors, disc brakes on all wheels, emergency stop signals, and electronic brake force distribution (EBD), and a few more.

Engine Details
The Nissan X-Trail will be powered by a 1.5L variable compression turbo petrol engine, paired with an XTRONIC CVT transmission. This setup delivers 163 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Remarkably, this engine is the worlds first production-spec variable compression turbo petrol engine. The Indian version of the X-Trail will feature a 2WD configuration.
With a price range expected upwards of Rs. 30 lakhs, it will rival the likes of Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, and other premium big-size SUVs.
