When the e-scooter fire incidents were not even making it to the news, we already presented to you a detailed story explaining why are electric scooters catching fire. Well, in yet another bizarre event related to the e-scooters; an entire Okinawa e-scooters showroom has now gone up ablaze.
The Indian sub-continent is already experiencing a harsh summer heat this year and its toll has started to grow on the vehicles as well. Most affected are the EVs and especially the e-scooters. Incidents such as various e-scooters burning to ashes due to various reasons have left the existing customers and auto enthusiasts in utter dismay. Such fire-catching events have already let down the newborn EV segment in India and adding to this downhill is a new event from Tamil Nadu.

In the recent accident, a whole showroom of Okinawa e-scooters has gone down in a fire-induced accident. Being shared virally all over the internet, the video shows people and administration trying their best to keep off the fire and rescue the people trapped inside the showroom.
Thankfully, no casualties were reported and all the employees and people trapped inside the showroom were rescued successfully without a scratch on their bodies. Although, this time the cause of the fire was not the e-scooter but a short-circuit in the vicinity of the dealership. A panel wiring is said to have gone kaput and the further additions in the incident caused the showroom to burn to ashes.

It is important to note down that the e-scooters are still under strict observation by the government as well as the respective manufacturers to vanish out the reasons behind such fire-inducing accidents. We sincerely hope that the cause behind these accidents shall soon be discovered and the peaceful growth of the EV segment in India continues. Okinawa has also recently recalled a total number of 3,215 Praise Pro e-scooters for a detailed study and correction of battery heating related issues.
