KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Substantial price cuts, up to Rs 40,000, on SRC 250, SRC 500, and SRV 300
  • SRC 250 now competes directly with the top variants of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350

QJMotor, a Chinese manufacturer, just dropped some exciting news for the new year by slashing prices across almost their entire range in India. The best part? The prices for the SRC 250, SRC 500, and SRV 300 have seen significant reductions, with savings of up to Rs 40,000! It's like a New Year's gift for bike enthusiasts. The SRK 400, on the other hand, remains a constant in terms of pricing. So, if you had your eye on it before it still comes with the same price tag. You'll need to shell out Rs. 3.69 Lakh, with a modest booking price of Rs. 10,000 to secure your spot.

QJMotor Announces Massive Price Cuts for Indian Lineup

The SRC 500 and SRV 300 Cruiser both receive a significant price reduction of Rs 40,000, while the SRC 250 sees a slightly lower cut of Rs 31,000. Check out the updated prices and discounts in the table below.

SRV 300 Cruiser3.59 lakh40,0003.19 lakh

Previously, certain colours would come at different prices across all models in QJ's Indian lineup. However, now, they've standardized the pricing for all colour options.

For those curious about whether the SRK 400's price has changed, it hasn't. The bike is still available at its original price of Rs 3.69 lakh. Interestingly, this price point is notably higher than the KTM 390 Duke, which is considered the benchmark in the segment and is priced at Rs 3.11 lakh.

Moving on to the SRC 250, it sports an Inline Twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, incorporating 4 valves and SOHC. Its 249cc displacement churns out a respectable 17.4Hp at 8000RPM and a torque of 17Nm at 6000RPM, managed by a 5-speed transmission. As the smallest offering from QJ in India, this little twin-cylinder retro takes aim squarely at the top variants of the popular Royal Enfield Hunter 350.

The SRV 300 comes packed with a V-Twin, liquid-cooled engine boasting 4 strokes, 8 valves, and SOHC technology. With a displacement of 296cc, it delivers a punchy 30.3Hp at 9000RPM and a torque of 26Nm at 5000RPM, all smoothly handled by its 6-speed transmission. This V-twin cruiser holds its ground admirably, putting it in close competition with the alloy wheel variant of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

The SRC 500, on the other hand, features a Single-cylinder air-cooled engine with 2 valves and SOHC. Boasting a displacement of 480cc, it flexes its muscles with 25.5Hp at 5750RPM and a torque of 36Nm at 4250RPM, seamlessly handled by a 5-speed transmission. Positioned slightly above the Royal Enfield Meteor and on par with the KTM 250 Duke, the SRC 500 adds a robust contender to the mix.

Verdict

QJMotor's aggressive price reductions make its bikes more competitive in the Indian market, posing a serious challenge to established players like Royal Enfield and KTM. This move seems strategic, especially with the substantial cuts on models like SRC 250, SRC 500, and SRV 300.
