Renault Capture, currently in its second generation, is a global product from the French carmaker. Renault use to sell Captur in India too, but it got discontinued in 2020 due to low sales. However, the brand continued its sale in many international markets. Now the camouflaged test vehicle of the Captur facelift has been spotted during its test run. Renault is expected to do an official unveil of the Capture facelift by the end of this year or early next year. Also, there stands a possibility that Renault might launch the facelifted Captur in India as a premium offering in the midsize SUV segment. Moreover, according to some international media reports, the new Renault Captur facelift will get an advanced infotainment system based on the Android Automotive OS platform. In this article, we have discussed many such details about the recently spotted Renault Captur facelift.
The spy images of the Captur facelift reveal a lot of its design details. The front of the vehicle looks production ready with elements like slim LED headlamps and a slim upper grille. The bigger & wider lower grille gets a radar sensor mounted in the middle. There are also front parking sensors and a front parking camera visible. The radar sensor in the front lower grille means the new Captur facelift will have level-2 ADAS tech.
The front windscreen of the vehicle also gets an ADAS camera on the top. It looks similar to the ongoing international model from the side. Thus there is no camouflage on the side. The Captur facelift also gets a new design of multi-spoke alloy wheels painted in black.
The rear of the Captur facelift gets a spoiler, shark fin antenna, rear parking sensors, reverse camera, etc. The taillamps are not clearly visible but it seems like Renault will equip it with redesigned LED taillamps. The rear disc brakes are also visible in the spy images of the Captur facelift.
