The year 2020 is finally coming to an end and now the fresh new year 2021 is about to arrive soon. And, with the arrival of the new year, almost all the auto manufacturers will be increasing the prices of their cars, motorcycles and scooters. Some carmakers like Maruti Suzuki, Kia Motors, Hyundai, etc. have already announced that they will be increasing the prices of all their cars from January 2021. Now, Renault India has also officially announced that the company will hike the price of all the Renault cars in January 2021.
The Indian subsidiary of the French car manufacturer Renault - Renault India Private Limited officially announced that the company will increase the prices of all its in January 2021. The prices will be increased by up to 28,000 rupees, and the price hike would vary depending upon the model and the exact variant. After the price hike, the new prices of the Renault cars in India will come into effect from January 1, 2021. The company in its official press release has stated that the upward price revision is a result of the steadily increasing input costs across the spectrum, including the input costs for steel, aluminium, plastics and other affiliated cost increases during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Renault currently sells three different cars in India. They are Renault Kwid, Triber MPV and the Duster SUV. The Renault Kwid is a very popular entry-level hatchback from the company in the Indian market. The BS6-compliant Kwid is currently priced between Rs. 2.99 lakhs - Rs. 5.12 lakhs. Then, we have the Triber MPV. The Renault Triber is a sub-4-metre seven-seater MPV which was launched in 2019 and it has been an instant hit for the company. The BS6-compliant Triber MPV is currently priced between Rs. 5.12 lakhs - Rs. 7.34 lakhs. Lastly, we have the Renault Duster SUV. The Duster is a very popular SUV in the Indian market. Recently, the company also launched the Duster Turbo in India. The BS6-compliant Renault Duster is currently priced between Rs. 8.59 lakhs - Rs. 13.59 lakhs. All the prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. The company will soon launch the Renault Kiger compact SUV too.

Renault India in its official announcement also said, "India is one of the key global markets for Groupe Renault and the brand has some of the most popular global products in its portfolio, led by Kwid, which is one of the top cars for the group globally. Triber continues to garner an overwhelming response and has established itself as a breakthrough product.
