According to sources, both the existing as well as the new customers have to shell out more money if the delivery is happening after April 1st. Some of the dealerships are also hinting at the customers to pay the amount full so that they won't have to deal with the excessive charge.

There has been other report that the French manufacturer is facing a shortage of parts from the touchscreen infotainment system to chips and some even the foam of seats. In a way, it is due to the growing popularity of to the shortage of parts, Renault Kiger will become expensive from next month.
Powered by two petrol engines - a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated unit generating 72 PS with 96 Nm of peak torque along with a more powerful 1.0L turbo-petrol unit churning 100 PS with 160 Nm (152 Nm for CVT) of peak torque. Both the engines get 5-speed manual transmission as standard and an optional AMT and CVT respectively.

Renault Kiger comes with several features like a PM 2.5 Air Filter, 405-litres of boot space, wireless charging, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting and more. Safety-wise, it also gets ABS with EBD, four airbags, vehicle dynamic control, hill-start assist and others.
As of now, the Kiger is the most affordable SUV in the segment with a starting price of Rs 5.45 lakh while the top model fetches Rs 9.72 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. We believe that the price hike will be between Rs 35,000 - Rs 40,000 maximum.
