A few days back we brought you a story on the new Classic 305 BS6 being spied at a dealership. It now seems that the bike has finally gone on sale. So its safe to say that amidst all the rumors stating that Royal Enfield is launching an all-new generation Classic 350 in mid-2020, the company has silently launched the BS6 Classic 350 at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.65 Lakh. The motorcycle is a part of the bulk that generates most of the sales for RE in India. But just to clarify, this is the BS6 version of the same Classic 350 that was available last year
The price difference between the ABS BS4 model and the BS6 model is Rs 11,000. The new bike now comes with Fuel Injection, and the company also mentions that you can expect more refinement and power delivery from these motorcycles.
The current BS4 Classic 350 produces 19.8Bhp and 28Nm of torque, which is adequate enough for city use. The bike also gets two new color offerings, namely Chrome Black and Stealth Black. The Stealth Black and the Gunmetal Grey colors of the Classic 350 will be available with alloy wheels and tubeless tires as standard.
Features for the BS6 Motorcycle remain the same. A single speedometer console with a low fuel warning light and odometer is what it gets. It also carries on the same suspension hardware, gearbox and headlight unit as the BS4 model. Bookings for the motorcycle have started at the dealership level. To prebook your motorcycle, you are required to pay a sum of Rs. 10,000. The motorcycle will go directly in competition with the Jawa offerings and the Benelli Imperiale 400.
