Royal Enfield, the best selling motorcycle brand above 300cc segment in India is working on the BS6 range of motorcycles. The Indian manufacturer will launch the new emission compliant motorcycle before the implementation of the norms on 1st April 2020.
Shubho's Vlogs, the video is shown above, caught the upcoming Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 bike parked at a dealership stockyard. It indicates that the launch will happen sooner than later. The motorcycle looks production-ready and is the final product before the official launch.
The upcoming bike will come with several changes. Apart from the new electronic fuel injection system that will help the motorcycle to achieve the BS6 emission norm certificate, it also gets an updated catalytic converter on the exhaust bend pipe, an updated oxygen sensor, and upgraded muffler with a larger heat shield. The engine block and other mechanicals remain similar to the current version of the motorcycle. The current version of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 produces a maximum power of 19.8 PS and peak torque of 28 Nm. The 5-speed transmission will be identical to the current version.
Visually, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 remains similar too. However, to make it look distinctive, the company has added new alloy wheels to the bike. The version parked at the dealership received a gunmetal paint job with factory-fitted black alloy wheels. The bike also has a contrasting dark brown saddle that adds a classy look to the overall package.
With the additional equipment, the price of the bike will increase when it launches in the market. Compared to the current version of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, the upcoming BS6 version will be at least Rs 10,000 more expensive.
