Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 was spied testing yet again internationally. The cruiser motorcycle is anticipated to launch globally by this year. Read details.
Spied testing again near the outskirts of Royal Enfield's R&D facility in the UK; the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 cruiser is nearing its production stage. The spy photos provide a more clear image of what the production bike could look like.
As we have already told you that Royal Enfield is working on the expansion of their 650cc platform, the Shotgun will be one of the upcoming models from this lineup. The more cruiser-oriented motorcycle will feature low-slung relaxed design language as seen in the new spy photos. The raised and tilted-back wide handlebar, thick USD front forks, teardrop fuel tank, wide single-seat, retro circular indicators, round headlight, and round tail light all combine to provide it a 60's cruiser look.

One can easily spot the use of chrome materials all around the test bike. The twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster will support Bluetooth connectivity and step-by-step navigation as anticipated. Another change to notice is the use of 19-inch front and 16-inch rear tyres will a 5-spoke alloy wheel design. This means that the Shotgun will be offered tubeless tyres as well.
It is easy to spot the same 650cc engine casing and twin exhaust setup as seen over the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. This engine is BS-6 emission norms mated and produces peak power of 47 hp and peak torque of 52 Nm. Although, the exhausts are now low-slung and feature a short-barrel design as well. The horn pad is also now placed underneath the oil filter and it seems that the Shotgun will use a single horn as per the spy photos.
