Skoda Compact SUV Spied: Front Design Features Chalked Out
The Skoda Compact SUV is now a familiar face (veiled of course) in the spy shot universe and made headlines on quite a few occasions too. However, the latest sightings revealed much more pronounced front fascia details and chalked out a detailed image on what to expect once the wraps are pulled off. You get a low-placed LED headlamp unit with a typical Skoda grille in between that extends out to incorporate the LED DRLs. Below this, you get the air intakes while the fog lamps are nowhere to be found.

Apart from this, we already know that this Compact SUV will give the sharp bodylines a leave, something that Skoda loyalists might miss. While Kushaq-like creases will not be beaten into the sheet metal of this SUV, it could mean a less taxing manufacturing and maintenance process. Other than that, it looks well within the essential 4-meter length while the rear gets typical Skoda tail lamps like the Kushaq. Although not visible, you can expect a connected LED bar housed within the tailgate. You can see the alloys which indicate a higher-spec model and the design will remind you somewhat of the Kuashaq, which is a typical of Skoda to impart a distinct identity to all its models.
Interior And Features: Expect A Lot Of Tech!
Inspired by its larger sibling, the Skoda Kushaq, the upcoming top-tier models of the Skoda Compact SUV are set to integrate a host of cutting-edge features. Enthusiasts can anticipate a 360-degree camera system for complete visibility, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, a wireless charging pad, TPMS, and more. Furthermore, advanced driving assistance systems (Level-2 ADAS) and a fully digital instrument cluster are likely to be included, further enhancing the SUV's appeal. Also, the last spotting revealed what looks like the 10.25-inch infotainment screen found on the Kushaq.
Skoda Compact SUV: Engine Details
The forthcoming Skoda compact SUV will feature a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, boasting 115hp and 178Nm of torque. Drivers can opt for either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Notably, in line with Skoda's strategy for the Indian market, the model will not include a diesel engine variant.
Slated for a 2025 launch, it will take on the likes of other compact SUVs like the Tata Nexon, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and others. Its expected starting price will be around the Rs. 8 lakhs mark.
Verdict
The upcoming Skoda SUV has a lot of time to study the trends and introduce a car that ticks all the boxes of what the new customers want. This might give it an edge over the competition once it is launched. However, breaking the hype of Tata Nexon or the Brezza, two of the longest standing players would be an uphill task, even with all the bells and whistles.
