Skoda India launched the Kushaq back in 2021 and it was a runaway success for the Czech manufacturer. Yes, there were some hiccups with the ECU in the beginning but the carmaker took care of it and gained people's trust. Now, Skoda Kushaq has completed one year in the Indian market and to celebrate its first anniversary, the carmaker has enhanced the SUV with some more features.
Skoda Kushaq Latest Features Update
The Hyundai Creta rival now gains a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard across all trims. Furthermore, it also gets a push start/stop button for all variants of the 1.0L TSI motor. This feature has now enhanced fuel economy by 7-9%.
The cabin now also gets a 20.32 cm Skoda infotainment system with knobs and buttons and the change is a new headliner. The carmaker has also introduced a new variant, Non-Sunroof Style that sits between Ambition and Style trims. This trim will get mated to a six-speed manual transmission only and is based on the 1.0L TSI motor.

Like the Slavia, the top-of-the-line, Style trim is now equipped with a virtual cockpit. It not only enhances the experience of the driver but gives the interior of the Kushaq a sporty appeal.
Mechanically, Skoda Kushaq is made available with two engine options - 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI. The former generates peak power and torque of 114 bhp and 178 Nm while the bigger, four-cylinder motor belts out 148 bhp of power with a peak torque of 250 Nm.
Both engines are mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard. For the automatic, the three-pot motor is mated to a six-speed torque converter transmission whereas the 1.5L TSI gets a 7-speed DSG unit.

Skoda Kushaq is priced from Rs 11.29 lakh to Rs 18.79 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It competes with Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor and the upcoming Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Grand Vitara.
