Skoda Kylaq Design
The Kylaq is the first product to feature Skoda's new "Modern Solid" design language. Though some of the design elements will definitely remind you of the Kushaq SUV, the Kylaq has differentiating elements such as clean lines throughout the body and front lighting. Also, it features a new split headlamp setup with an LED DRL setup (top) and an LED projector headlamp positioned at the low end. Overall, the sub-compact SUV look well-proportioned. For the dimensions, the Kylaq gets a shorter wheelbase than the Kushaq and that is why it measures 3,995mm in length (smaller than the Kushaq SUV)
Skoda Kylaq Features
In terms of features, the Kylaq is again very similar to its bigger sibling Kushaq. It features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital driver's display, 6-way power-adjustable (front row), automatic climate control, wireless charging and a single-pane sunroof. The safety suite of the sub-compact SUV includes six airbags (standard), traction control, ESC, and brake disc wiping among others.
Skoda Kylaq Engine
Powering the Kylaq is the same 1.0 litre, 3-cylinder TSI petrol engine which is capable of making 115 bhp of power and 178 Nm of torque. The powerhouse is available with both manual and automatic transmission. Unfortunately, there is no turbo option on offer, but the overall power-to-weight ratio will be enough to have a decent highway cruising experience.
Skoda Kylaq Price and Rivals
Launched with a starting price tag of Rs. 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Kylaq will help the brand amplify its sales numbers. The Skoda Kylaq is all set to lock horns with the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Fronx, Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV 3XO.

Verdict
