Skoda Kylaq: Design Language
Despite being an all-new product, the upcoming Skoda Kylaq will derive some of its design elements from the already available Skoda Kushaq. As per the spy shots, it will have a similar-looking window beltline and grille to the Kushaq SUV. To be easily differentiated, the Kylaq SUV will feature new split LED headlamps and DRLs. At the rear also, it will get new inverted L-shaped LED tail lights, providing it with a distinct appearance.
Skoda Kylaq: Expected Features
Talking about the cabin's vibe, the Kylaq is expected to get a similar dashboard layout as the Kushaq. It might feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity and a 2-spoke steering wheel.
Also, we are expecting to arrive with an 8-inch digital driver's display, ventilated seats (front), auto AC, single pane sunroof, and wireless charging pad. On the safety front, it is expected to get 6 airbags as standard, rear parking camera, rear parking sensors and electronic stability control as well.
Skoda Kylaq: Engine and Performance
The upcoming Skoda Kylaq will be powered by a 1-litre turbo petrol engine, mated to a six-speed manual or an automatic transmission. The powertrain on offer is the same unit that the brand utilizes for the Kushaq and Slavia as well. The powerhouse is capable of producing 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque.
Skoda Kylaq: Global Debut and Expected Price
The Skoda Kylaq sub-four-metre will make its global debut on 6 November this year. However, the brand hasn't made any piece of information public regarding the price range of the Kylaq. It is expected to land on our shores with a starting price of rs. 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the Kylaq will lock horns with the Maruti Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO and the Tata Nexon in India.

Verdict
The Skoda Kylaq seems poised to be a strong contender in the sub-4-metre SUV segment, offering modern features and a proven powertrain. While its design borrows elements from the Kushaq, it adds its own distinct identity. If priced competitively, it could effectively challenge established rivals like the Brezza and Nexon, attracting buyers seeking style, features, and performance.
