Not only that, Skoda has hiked the prices of Slavia too. The 1.0L TSI is the most in demand and churns out 114 bhp of power with a peak torque of 178 Nm. It gets mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard and a six-speed torque converter automatic as an option.

The performance-oriented 1.5L TSI motor gets the biggest hike. It is available in the top-spec Style variant only and gets a uniform hike of Rs 60,000 for both manual and automatic transmission. This engine belts out 148 bhp of power with a peak torque of 250 Nm. It gets mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard and a 7-speed DSG as an option.

Verdict
As of now, there is no update from the carmaker as to why the prices of the sedan have been hiked. However, we do expect due to the rise in input costs, this measure is taken. Skoda Slavia is one of the most powerful sedans in the market and that too on a budget.
