Hyundai Kona Electric
The Hyundai Kona Electric, one of the pioneers in the Indian electric vehicle market, has been discontinued after a long run in India after its debut in 2019. While the Kona Electric remains available in global markets, Hyundai will introduce the Creta EV in January 2025, positioning it as the company's most affordable electric offering in India. The Kona Electric was powered by a 39.2 kWh battery pack, generating 134 bhp and 395 Nm of torque, and offering a claimed range of 452 km. This same electric motor will continue duties with the Creta EV.
Mahindra Marazzo
I don't blame you if you weren't aware of the whereabouts of the not-so-famous MPV, the Mahindra Marazzo. While it has been a very poorly performing MPV in the sea of Mahindra's pioneering SUV portfolio, the brand continued its sales for a diversified line-up on offer. However, clocking just 9 units sales in the last month, the final nail in its coffin has been delivered with reports of its discontinuation. Although it is still listed on the website, the model is just here for the remaining of 2024 as per some online media reports.
Jaguar I-Pace
Jaguar was among the early entrants into the Indian electric vehicle market with the I-Pace, an all-electric performance SUV. Powered by twin electric motors and a 90 kWh battery pack, the I-Pace delivered 394 bhp and 695 Nm of torque, achieving a claimed range of up to 470 km. With a 0-100 kph sprint time of 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 200 kph, the I-Pace showcased Jaguar's mettle with its performance heritage. As Jaguar transitions to an all-electric future by 2025, it will be exciting to witness the evolution of their EV lineup, however, this one has been shelved for good.
