Tata Motors has refreshed the variant offerings for its premium hatchback, Altroz, by introducing two new additions. The Altroz XM and XM(+) variants are now available at prices of Rs 6.90 lakh and Rs 7.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. Additionally, the brand has enhanced the features in both the XE, XM+, XM+(S) and XT variant. Read details about the new variants below. Tata Altroz New Variants & Feature Update
The XM & XM(S) variants bridges the gap between the Altroz XE and XM+. By incorporating features like the electric sunroof in XM(S) variants, the Altroz becomes the most affordable premium hatchback to offer this feature. Further, the XM variants gets steering mounted controls, height adjustable driver seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and 16-inch wheels with cover. These variants will exclusively be equipped with the 1.2 L Revotron petrol engine paired with a manual transmission.
Other variants of the Altroz have received notable updates. In the XE variant, rear power windows, remote keyless locking, follow-me home lamps and a height-adjustable driver seat have been included. The XM+ and XM+(S) variants now come equipped with a rear parking camera, 16-inch alloy wheels, and cruise control. As for the XT variant, it now features a rear defogger, 16-inch hyperstyle wheels, and a height-adjustable seat. With the addition of height-adjustable driver seats to all variants, it has become a standard feature across the entire Altroz lineup.
Tata Altroz XM & XM(S) Engine Specifications
The new Altroz XM & XM(S) variants comes with the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine which produces 87 bhp of power and 115 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The introduction of new variants in the Tata Altroz lineup serves to fill the gap between the existing available options. With the launch of the XM(S) variant, Tata has made the Altroz the most affordable premium hatchback to offer a sunroof. Moreover, the inclusion of new features in the other variants enhances their appeal to potential buyers. The Altroz competes with other popular hatchbacks like the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza.
