Tata Altroz Racer Interior Leaked: Bigger Touchscreen
Tata's Altroz Racer is set to feature a larger 10.2-inch infotainment screen with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as seen in the spy shots( Source). While some advanced features like the new 2-spoke steering wheel and touch-and-toggle climate control may not be part of the package, the model is expected to maintain a sleek design. The inclusion of a 10.2-inch instrument cluster and a single-pane sunroof, as seen in the prototype exhibited at the 2023 Auto Expo, adds a touch of modernity to this upcoming release.
The exterior of the Altroz Racer shows minimal changes, with identical wheels to the standard model. Tata is set to enhance the Racer's aesthetics with distinctive features, including blackened wheels, a black roof, and a black bonnet adorned with white racing stripes.

Engine Options
Rumors suggest that this vehicle will be powered by Tata's latest 1.2 TGDI engine, delivering enhanced performance compared to the currently available Altroz i-Turbo in the Indian market. The anticipated debut of the new 1.2L TGDi engine is expected with either the Curvv or the Altroz Racer, both scheduled for launch in 2024.
The upcoming engine is anticipated to generate 125 bhp at 5,000 RPM and a torque of 225 Nm within the range of 1,700 to 3,500 RPM. It is expected to be paired with Tata's new 7-speed DCT transmission as well. It will directly challenge the Hyundai i20 N-Line.
Verdict
Tata Altroz Racer was unveiled last year at the Auto Expo In January 2023. While the speculations were doing rounds about its future, the recent test mule sightings cleared the air. With a more sporty appearance and a new performance oriented engine on its way, it will attract a new section of buyers towards this premium hatchback.
