Tata Altroz PEPS Wearable Band To Be Discontinued
One of the highlights of the Altroz was the wearable key since it provided a secure method of keeping the key close to hand and reduced the likelihood that it would get misplaced. Regarding the removal of the PEPS band, the company has not released any information to the public, although an internal document has been leaked online. The PEPS Band are currently included with the XT, XZ, and XZ+ versions of the Altroz. From January 2023, the brand will provide two PEPS Keys for the XT, XZ, and XZ+ varieties, compared to two basic mechanical keys for the base XE version, one mechanical key, and one foldable remote key for the XE+ and XM+ variant.
The PEPS band aids in passive entry/exit, door lock/unlock, and enables push-button start/stop button. With the PEPS wearing band, there are several methods to start the vehicle. Similar access will be available with the PEPS key as by the PEPS band. Additionally, the PEPS key will offer more extra capabilities like finding your car in parking spaces and blowing the horn in to spot the car congested parking areas.
