Tata Motors has officially started accepting bookings of the much-awaited BS6 Harrier Automatic. The carmaker has revealed that the potential customers can book the Harrier at a token amount of Rs 30,000 at any authorised dealerships or through the website.
Sharing more light from the bookings of the BS6 Tata Harrier Automatic then it packs the same FCA sourced turbocharged diesel engine but now in a retuned form. It produces 170 bhp on tap and maximum torque sticking to 350 Nm. Also, a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is new and the manual gearbox continues as before.

As said earlier, Tata will bring the Harrier automatic in three trims - XMA, XZA and XZA+. The top-spec trim, XZ+ (manual) and XZA+ (automatic) will now receive features like a large panoramic sunroof, 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat with adjustable lumbar support.

This trim will also receive Auto-dimming rearview mirrors along with dual-tone diamond-cut 17-inch alloy wheels. Tata Motors will also bring in a new exterior shade, Calypso Red Colour. Also, they will bring in the stylish aerodynamic outside mirror which will enhance the design quotient.
Safety features like ABS with EBD, Traction Control, Six Airbags, Front Seat Belt Warning, High-speed alert system, Brake Assist, Hill hold control and Hill descent control will come on board. Also, the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) will come with all trims.
Upon launch, the automatic Tata Harrier will rival the Mahindra XUV500, Jeep Compass, MG Hector and higher variants of the Kia Seltos. We expect Harrier automatic to sit at a price bracket of Rs 15 lakh to Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
