Tata Motors Auto Expo'23 Details
Coming to the details, Tata has aligned new models for the Expo'23. Some of these models will be launched while some of them will be only for the showcase. Meanwhile, Tata also has plans to showcase new EV concepts as well as SUV concept models. Below is a detailed list of the expected models & launches from Tata.
Altroz EV
Tata Altroz has proven to be a game-changer for the brand. The premium hatchback offers strong build quality and oozes space on the inside. Additionally, the Altroz is offered in multiple engine & gearbox options. However, it is its value-for-money tag that has attracted most of the customers. But, Tata is now going to introduce a new electric version of it. The Altroz EV is speculated to be displayed at the Auto Expo'23. Test mules of it have already been spied on the road with camouflage. Tata will not fiddle with its design but it will be its electric powertrain that will attract eyeballs. We're speculating that Tata will fit it with the Nexon EV Max's powertrain and hence it might deliver more than 350 km per charge of a range. Its main rival in India will be the upcoming Citroen C3 EV.
Punch EV & Harrier EV
It is also being reported that Tata has almost completed the development of Punch EV. The micro-SUV from Tata has already done well with the ICE market. Hence, the EV model of it will exceed the legacy of the Tata brand in the EV segment. Tata Punch EV might get launched at the Expo'23. Additionally, the Harrier SUV will also be getting an EV variant in near future. Tata will likely display a concept model of the Harrier EV. Punch & Altroz CNG Models
Tata Punch CNG & Altroz CNG are said to be launched as well. The launch of bi-fuel cars from Tata will take place at the Expo'23. Both of these models shall use the same 1.2-lt, naturally aspirated petrol engine. However, the addition of CNG will help Tata gain more hold over the bi-fuel market. Avinya & Curvv Concept SUVs
Earlier in 2022 Tata showcased the Avinya & Curvv SUV concept models. Both of these concept SUVs gathered a lot of eyeballs. However, the Indian Auto Expo'23 shall witness the showcase of both of these models but in a more evolved way. Tata might showcase more reality-based or production-near models of both of these SUVs. Additionally, Tata is suspected to showcase a special concept model like the Blackbird SUV or the Sierra.
Blackbird Electric SUV
Tata Blackbird has been one of the most anticipated SUVs from the brand. However, despite of repeated questions from the media; Tata has still not showcased it. But, this Auto Expo'23 might showcase the actual or a concept model of the upcoming SUV. Multiple reports online point out that it will be a mid-size electric SUV. This can be true as the Tata Nexon EV has been a huge success for the brand. Hence, Blackbird with a bigger chassis and more features can help Tata in establishing a new EV niche. However, an ICE iteration of the Blackbird can not be denied too.
