The upcoming Nexon EV facelift will share its design language with the Nexon facelift. It will feature the same front headlamp design, along with a new bumper and front fascia. The sole distinction at the front will be the introduction of connected LED daytime running lights (DRLs) that span the vehicle's width. The ICE version of the Nexon facelift does not incorporate connected DRLs. The remaining design elements of the EV version will remain identical to those of the ICE version.

The Nexon EV is set to adopt a new name as part of Tata Motors' updated brand identity for its electric vehicle lineup. The rear of the SUV will now feature the name 'Nexon.EV.' Furthermore, the current trims, Nexon EV Prime and Nexon EV Max, will be rebranded as Nexon EV MR (Medium Range) and Nexon EV LR (Long Range), respectively.

Tata Nexon EV - Powertrain

The Nexon EV facelift is anticipated to keep its existing electric powertrain intact, featuring a choice between the 30.2 kWh battery for the lower-spec model and the 40.5 kWh battery for the top-spec model. Likewise, the expected range estimates are likely to remain unchanged, with the Prime model claiming a range of 312 kilometers and the Max model offering an estimated 453 kilometers on a single charge.

Verdict

The Tata Nexon EV is set to receive identical updates as its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart. The recently unveiled Nexon facelift has garnered significant praise for its enhancements, and these same updates will be applied to the EV variant as well. The Nexon EV will maintain its competition with the Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV.
