Tata Motors has been doing the testing of the 2020 Nexon facelift and Nexon EV for a long time. We have seen the unveiling of the Nexon EV and now, Autocar India has shared detailed pictures of the upcoming 2020 Tata Nexon Facelift. We expect it to be launched at the 2020 Auto Expo.
The images show a new flat-front grille with gloss black touches on the front. The new swept-back headlight with LED DRLs and bumper design has been carried over from the Nexon EV. Surprisingly, Tata has carried over the star pattern of the lower bumper from the EV counterpart of the Nexon which reminds us of the Aventador! The front hood and bumper now comply with the upcoming pedestrian crash safety norms.
Now the front profile is tad upright than before. The side profile hasn't received big changes apart from the 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The silver beltline is still intact and the rear also retains the X-cross pattern on the boot. The taillights have got some design changes but the size remains the same. Above the rear bumper are the reflectors placed with silver surroundings.

Coming to the engine options, the 2020 Tata Nexon facelift will be getting the same 1.5 diesel and 1.2 turbo petrol engines with BS6 compliance. The power figures will remain the same at 108 hp and 260 Nm of torque for the diesel and 108 hp and 170 Nm for the petrol. Both the engines come with a 6-speed manual and 6 speed AMT. The same specs will be carried over to the Nexon facelift but in BS6 guise and prices will be revised too.
The interiors will receive clever features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple car play, 7-inch driver's display, new flat-bottom steering wheel with cruise control, electric sunroof and new upholstery. Tata Nexon was a fairly equipped car and these additions will make it even better. The launch is expected to happen at the 2020 Auto expo and pricing will also be announced. The new pricing will see a bump of around Rs 30-50k, thanks to the BS6 compliant engines and pedestrian safety compliance too.
