Tata Punch CNG
The upcoming Punch CNG will incorporate the twin-cylinder technology already witnessed in the Altroz CNG. It will be equipped with two 30-litre CNG cylinders, providing a total CNG capacity of 60 litres. Owing to the twin-cylinder technology, the Punch CNG will offer customers an approximate 150L of boot space. As for other changes, it will feature only CNG stickers on the front and rear windshields, along with i-CNG badging on the tailgate, following the pattern seen in all Tata CNG cars. A noteworthy addition on the features front will be the inclusion of an electric sunroof, enhancing its appeal in the segment. Regarding the variants, the Punch CNG is expected to be available in multiple options. Notably, features such as LED DRLs, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 16-inch alloy wheels, and others will remain consistent in the CNG variant.
Tata Punch CNG - Powertrain & Safety
The Punch i-CNG will be propelled by the identical 1.2-liter CNG engine, providing a peak power of 77 bhp and 90 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The vehicle's ECU will undergo reprogramming to enable easy starting in CNG mode and smooth transitioning between petrol and CNG modes. Additionally, it will be equipped with thermal incident protection, leak detection, and fire protection features.

Verdict
The upcoming Punch CNG will directly compete with the recently launched Hyundai Exter CNG. The CNG powertrain variant is likely to see a price increase of Rs 90,000 to 1 lakh compared to the regular Punch variants.
