Tata Motors is extensively testing the Punch EV, with the test mule being sighted multiple times. Following the recent launch of the updated Nexon EV, the anticipation is high for the upcoming launch of the Punch EV in the coming year. The latest test mule have unveiled fresh details about the upcoming electric vehicle, showcasing design elements similar to the recently released Nexon EV. Tata Punch EV
The recently spotted test mule revealed a redesigned front profile, featuring a new headlamp assembly akin to the Nexon EV. Additionally, a new LED DRL is expected, speculated to span the width of the vehicle as a long LED bar. Changes extend to the reworking of the bumper and grille in the Punch EV. While the side profile largely remains same, a fresh alloy wheel design is expected. Another significant upgrade anticipated is the inclusion of rear disc brakes. The rear end might see the addition of a new LED tail lamp bar, aligning with recent model releases.
On the inside, it was previously spotted with an automatic IRVM and a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It's likely to adopt some features from the recently released Nexon EV. Anticipate upgrades such as a new HVAC control unit, digital instrument cluster, a larger infotainment screen, wireless connectivity, and more. Expect a steering wheel inspired by Nexon, featuring an illuminated logo. In terms of safety, it is anticipated to include features such as six airbags, ESC, TPMS, rear parking camera with sensors, and ABS with EBD, among other safety measures.

Tata Punch EV Powertrain
Information about the powertrain is currently undisclosed, but we can expect the Punch EV to come in both Medium Range and Long Range variants. It will feature the ZipTron powertrain, with the Medium Range version likely adopting the same powertrain as the Tigor EV, and the Long Range variant possibly using the powertrain from the base variant of the Nexon EV. Regarding the range, it is anticipated that the Long Range variant will offer approximately 315-320 km.
