The upcoming Tata Punch EV is slated to position itself between the Nexon EV and the Tiago EV in Tata Motors' electric vehicle lineup. It will be available in two variants Standard with a smaller 25 kWh battery and LR (Long Range) with a larger 35 kWh battery. Leaked details reveal that the Standard Punch boasts a claimed range of 315 km, while the Punch LR claims an extended range of 400 km. Performance variations are expected between the two, with the LR models featuring rear disc brakes and a higher top speed, estimated around 130 km/h or 140 km/h.
While the launch is all set to take place on January 17, it will directly challenge the likes of Citroen eC3 and the upcoming Hyundai Exter EV.

The upcoming Tata Punch EV promises to be a compelling addition to the electric vehicle market, positioned between the Nexon EV and Tiago EV. With two variants offering different battery capacities, the Punch EV caters to varying range needs, from 315 km in the Standard variant to an impressive 400 km in the Long Range model. Packed with features like ventilated front seats, rear disc brakes, and a 10.2-inch instrument cluster, the Punch EV aims to carve its niche in the sub-compact SUV segment, offering a blend of performance, range, and advanced amenities.
