Tata Safari and Harrier are now more expensive than before. However, with this recent price hike, they are also rich in features. Both models gain features from the top-spec Jet Edition and in this article, we share what's new with both the SUVs.
Tata Harrier now gets C-type USB ports in the front row for all variants and XZ trim and above will get this for the second row as well. The XZS trim and above will further be equipped with an enhanced electronic stability program which includes panic brake alert, driver doze-off alert and after-impact braking.
The XZ+ variants are now equipped with more. They now get all-wheel disc brakes, electronic parking brake, wireless charging and more features for iRA. Rest, everything remains the same for Harrier.

Coming to Tata's flagship SUV, Safari then it gets similar features as Harrier except for the all-wheel disc brakes it already got before. Other than this, the Gold Edition of the Safari gets more features for iRA. The XZ+ variants now also get comfort head restraints from the Jet Edition.
In addition to this, the Indian carmaker has also increased the prices of both Harrier and Safari. Right from Rs 10,000 to Rs 31,000 hike, the SUVs are now pricier than before. Harrier is now priced from Rs 14.80 lakh to Rs 22.35 lakh while Safari sticks from Rs 15.45 lakh to Rs 23.66 lakh. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.

Under the hood, both Tata Safari and Harrier get a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. This motor produces 168 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 350 Nm. It gets mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard and a six-speed torque converter automatic as an option.
Verdict
Overall, both Harrier and Safari attract a good number of monthly sales and are widely popular in the Indian market. The price hike too seems reasonable considering the carmaker has added more features as well.
