- Tata Safari and Harrier facelift under testing
- Interior spied for the first time
- New elements and features
Tata Motors is working on the facelifts of its popular SUVs, the Tata Safari and the Tata Harrier. While on quite a few occasions we had a sneak peek of the exteriors and the changes there, the cabin could not be captured. But now, the interiors of the Tata Safari facelift have been spotted for the first time and things are about to change.
Let us look at the pictures and look at the details of what new elements are on the way.
First Glimpse Of Tata Safari Facelift Interior
Although we know about the new set of alloy wheels coming with the facelift, it's finally time to get a hang of what it's like on the inside.
While the automaker has covered up the interior from prying cameras, we can still make out some key details from underneath. For starters, it gets the new Tata 2-spoke steering wheel inspired by the Tata Curvv concept. The same is spotted with the Tata Nexon facelift as well. In addition, it will also get paddle shifters and an illuminated brand logo on the steering wheel.
The center console indicates the presence of a touch-based control panel for the HVAC. The design of the ac vents also takes a new refreshed styling. The same touch-controlled aircon system was seen on the Tata Nexon facelift as well. The main infotainment system and fully digital instrument cluster will remain similar to the ones featured in Red Dark Edition. Apart from this, the layout is almost the same as before.

Tata Safari Facelift Details
The facelifted Safari and Harrier are getting revamped front and rear styling. New LED headlamps and DRLs with an all-new logo for the passenger segment vehicles are expected as well. Along with this, a new front and rear lower bumper, a probable LED bar connecting the taillights, and new 18-19 inch alloy wheels will impart a distinct identity to these Tata SUVs. Plus, ADAS like the Red Dark Edition will make its way with these facelifts too.
Powertrain
The engine options will continue as it is with the current SUVs, however, a new 1.5 litre turbo petrol unit is on the cards as well. It currently comes with a 2.0 L diesel mill that is good for 170 PS with a peak torque of 350 Nm. It comes mated to either a 6-speed Manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
VERDICT- Since the facelifted Safari and Harrier are currently under testing for quite some time already, we have some cues on what's to come. With a fresh front facia with revamped and more techy interiors, Tata Motors is all set to take on the rivals a lot more fiercely than before.
