It is true that fuel prices are soaring since a few years now and people are switching to electric or even CNG option as an alternative. However, those having long commutes where running is more than 1200 kilometres on a monthly basis still prefer diesel cars. Not only diesel is fuel efficient but is readily available in all parts of India. In this article, we will be sharing the list of the top 6 fuel-efficient cars available in India that return the highest fuel economy.

The only premium hatchback that is available with multiple engine options, it is the oil burner that is the most fuel-efficient unit of the one. The 1.5L diesel is the same as found in the new Creta but belts out less power and torque figures. The peak power and torque stick to 99 bhp and 240 Nm respectively.
