The S-Presso is one of the fun AMTs to drive from Maruti's line-up. We say it because we have tested the funky hatchback in city traffic as well as on highways. The S-Presso packs in an automatic gearbox with manual override, which means you can manually change gears too. The top-spec variant gets a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Also, we attained a real-time driving mileage of 17.8 km/l which is a lot since we pushed the car to its maximum limits.
Renault Kwid AMT

Maruti Suzuki CelerioX AGS

If you are not impressed by the Celerio's basic look then you can always choose it's beefier version. Mechanically, nothing is changed in the CelerioX but is is the cosmetic changes which the hatchback carries. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R 1.0 AGS And WagonR 1.2 AGS

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is more than a decade old running hatchback and with time it's popularity has grown among first-time buyers. This hatch provides huge cabin space and the new-gen model gets updated features and technologies. The AMT version on the Wagon R comes in two engine options - 1.0L and 1.2L and the power figures are quite vast. The ARAI certified mileage for both sticks to 22.5 km/l and 20.52 km/l respectively.
Hyundai Santro AMT
Price - Rs 5.53 lakh onwards (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Engine Capacity - 1086 cc, Power - 68 bhp ; Torque - 99 Nm
Hyundai Santro rivals with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and the hatchback does come with a smooth and reliable manual-automated system. We have left out Datsun Redi-GO and GO as the BS6 versions for the same have not been launched. We are not sure whether they will be launched with an automatic version or not!
