1 - Creta SUV Facelift
In 2023, Hyundai is going to update its most popular SUV in India. The 2023 Hyundai Creta facelift will soon debut with radical changes. The upcoming model is already on sale in the global markets. Meanwhile, it will be brought unchanged in India by mid-2023. Hyundai has revised its design with the 'Sensuous Sportiness' language that is also seen on the new Tucson. Additionally, the interiors of it will be revised with a new dashboard, a new digital cockpit, & added features. One prominent addition to it will be the ADAS technology. We expect that its prices will be increased by a few thousand due to the addition of new features & tech.
2 - Verna Sedan Facelift
Hyundai Verna seems to be the only of the last few C-segment sedans left. While the sedan market is near its end in India; Hyundai seems to have not given up. In lieu of it, the new 2023 Verna facelift will debut soon in India. The testing of the new model is already ongoing as test mules are being spied on repeatedly. Additionally, the new sedan will also continue selling the diesel engine option. Meanwhile, its design will get radical updates like the Venue. Hyundai will give a complete revamp to it with the latest tech such as ADAS, lane-assist, adaptive cruise control, &, etc. Its expected debut in India will take place in the second half of 2023.
3 - Grand i10 NIOS & Aura Sedan Facelift
The tertiary major launch by Hyundai will be the new-gen Grand i10 NIOS & Aura duo. The upcoming models have been spied globally testing. By the looks of it, the new models will get cosmetic changes only. Our anticipation is that the new models will get a 'Sensuous Sportiness' design language treatment. Additionally, Hyundai might revise the interiors as well because they've started to age. Meanwhile, the engine & specification options will likely remain unchanged. With that said, the i10 & Aura duo facelift might debut in India by the mid of 2023. We're expecting that the prices of these cars will be increased by a few thousand when launched.
4 - New Kona EV
Hyundai Kona was one of the first premium EV SUVs launched in India. However, its design has really gotten old & it is now sticking long in the tooth. Hence, a new-gen Kona EV is likely on its way to India. This new-gen Kona was recently unveiled in the global markets. All thanks to its radical design and muscular appeal, the new Kona EV has received a tremendous response. Its cabin has taken inspiration from the Ionqi 5 itself. We suspect that the Kona EV will debut in India sometime late in 2023. Get ready for increased pricing due to the addition of a plethora of technologies.
5 - Ioniq 5 EV (Price Announcement)
Last but not the least, Hyundai will be revealing the price of its Inoniq 5 EV. The premium EV debuted in India on 20 December. It is a sibling car to KIA EV6 but gets a different design & appeal. The most interesting part is that it will be a CKD, unlike the EV6 which is a CBU model. Hence, its price will be much less than the EV6 itself. Hyundai will sell only the fully-loaded variant in India and we suspect that it will be priced around Rs 5-6 lakh less than the EV6. Its bookings are already underway.
Verdict
A total of 6 models are already aligned by Hyundai for 2023 in India. However, it is just the beginning of this year & a lot more is expected to come. Apart from the top upcoming Hyundai cars, other car manufacturers like MG, Tata, etc., are also going to debut new products this year. For more such upcoming launches, keep an eye on 91Wheels.
