The recently launched Rumion is essentially a rebranded version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, but with some distinct exterior modifications to give it a unique appearance.
The Rumion comes equipped with the same powertrain as the Ertiga, featuring a 1.5-liter petrol engine that produces 103hp and 137Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Notably, it also offers a factory-installed CNG kit, which delivers 88hp and 121.5Nm when running on CNG, and 101hp and 136Nm when operating on petrol. The petrol variant of the Toyota Rumion achieves an impressive fuel efficiency of up to 20.51 km/l, while the CNG version offers a mileage of 26.11 km/kg

Regarding the bookings the brand said, "We launched the all-new Toyota Rumion in August this year and have received an overwhelming response from our customers who have been waiting for a Toyota vehicle in the B-MPV segment. We are heartened to see the increasing inflow of enquiries and healthy bookings for the all-new Toyota Rumion. The demand has surpassed our expectations, resulting in a long delivery time across variants, especially for the CNG option. This has necessitated us to temporarily halt bookings of the CNG option only to avoid customer inconvenience due to a longer waiting period.
Verdict
The temporary pause in Rumion CNG bookings clearly indicates the product's strong reception among customers. As a rebranded version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Rumion has garnered significant interest. Toyota's offering of an extended warranty compared to Maruti Suzuki may contribute to the high demand. Additionally, the Rumion boasts a more premium appearance, especially with its distinctive front grille when compared to the Ertiga.
