Toyota Rumion
Based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Rumion will be the sit below the Innova in the brand lineup. Similar to the Ertiga, it will have the same features and engine specifications. Similar to other Toyota and Maruti Suzuki vehicles that have been rebadged, there will be minimal styling changes. To set it apart from the Ertiga, we may anticipate seeing new front and back bumpers, alloy wheels, and a grille.
The instrument cluster, infotainment display, and air conditioning vents will have the same internal layout. Similar to the Ertiga, it will be available in an eight-seater version. Additionally, the features offered will be comparable.
Toyota Rumion Engine Specifications
Toyota will use the same 1.5-liter petrol engine with naturally aspirated combustion, producing 103 bhp and a maximum torque of 137 Nm. A 6-speed automatic gearbox and a 5-speed manual gearbox will be mated to this engine. Toyota may release a CNG variant in the future.
Verdict
The forthcoming Rumion will mark the fourth Maruti vehicle to undergo rebadging as a Toyota model. While retaining a similar essence to the Ertiga, the Rumion might carry a higher price due to the association with the Toyota brand. Notably, Maruti Suzuki recently introduced the rebranded version of the Toyota Innova Hycross, known as the Invicto.
