Hero Karizma XMR 210 - What's New?
The new design patent image leak shows that the Karizma will be equipped with the latest features. The headlight design, for example, consists of a dual-projector setup in the middle. However, the headlight is V-shaped and big which indicates that the front fascia of it'll be prominent. Another addition will be a digital instrument cluster. While we're not surprised to see it, the console will be probably a TFT colour unit. In addition to it, the new Karizma will use cycle parts from fellow Hero bikes.
We've already seen patent image leaks before. These previously leaked images showed us that the new bike will get an aggressive design. It'll get clip-on handlebars, petal disc brakes, raised rear stance with an LED taillight. Also, the profile of the motorcycle will be that of a faired sports bike. Hence, the long-side fairing on both sides will be offered. We also expect that it'll get features like ride modes, dual-channel ABS, & Bluetooth smartphone connectivity.
While Hero has not uttered a single word on its specifications, the rumours suggest to us that it'll get a new 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This engine will develop an anticipated peak power output of around 25 bhp & a peak torque of around 22 Nm. Hero MotoCorp will also mate this engine to a 6-speed transmission. The new Karizma shall also get a slipper clutch to assist the rider in safety.
Verdict
The new Karizma is eagerly being awaited by the Indian two-wheeler audience. Karizma has been a strong brand name for Hero and it has enjoyed a cult name among the young buyers. Hence, the re-introduction of Karizma name will surely bring sales to the company. More details will be revealed about the new Karizma as we approach its official launch date i.e. 29 August. Meanwhile, some of its rivals in India are - Yamaha R15 V4 & Suzuki Gixxer 250 SF.
