MG India has officially released the teaser of its third electric car. The upcoming MG Cloud EV is expected to launch in September, and the teaser for it is out now. MG Cloud EV: What To Expect?
The Cloud EV is an international product and it will launch as it is in India. However, MG has been testing the upcoming car on the Indian roads, to make sure the final checks. As far as the global car goes, it is a crossover with curvy looks that stand in between a sedan and an SUV design. MG is also eyeing providing the same to customers with its long wheelbase and airy cabin. The front and rear design of the Cloud EV will get a slim LED lightbar with LED lights. Also, the stepped curvy shape is the highlight of the Cloud's design and it will be prominent on the Indian spec as well.
As far as the teaser goes, the key features that have been highlighted, include LED lights, a huge panoramic sunroof, a round steering wheel with two-spokes and round buttons on it, 5-spoke alloy wheels, and an illuminated MG logo on the front, which is also expected to be the charging port. Moreover, the interiors of the Cloud EV will get a slim yet big dashboard with a minimalistic design approach, something that we see on the Comet EV as well. Features like a 360-degree parking camera, a big infotainment screen, wireless phone connectivity, and more will be offered as standard, as per our anticipation.
MG sells the Cloud EV in two variants depending on the range offered. One version delivers a claimed range of 360 km per charge with a 37.9kWh battery, while another delivers 460 km of range per charge with a 50.6kWh battery. Both of these options generate a max power output of 134 bhp. The Indian spec model is also likely to get these range options in different trim levels. The expected pricing of the Cloud EV will be Rs 25-30 lakh, and the launch timeline is in September, before the festive season.
