The most recent sighting of the MG Gloster facelift test mule reveals a sizable SUV navigating public streets under a thick veil of camouflage. As it essentially mirrors the Maxus D90 or LDV D90 from global markets, the same holds true for its overall design and styling. Anticipated to be larger in dimensions, the MG Gloster facelift draws design cues from the latest LDV D90 unveiled for international markets. It's projected to measure 5,214 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width, and 1,876 mm in height, promising a more capacious interior and a larger cargo space. The revamped front fascia will integrate design elements from the updated LDV D90, encompassing refreshed lighting, grille, and front and rear bumpers.
The video captures the rear portion, showcasing its towering stance and robust boot lid area. Notable features include a split-LED taillamp cluster flanked by reflector lights on the bumper's extremities, accompanied by a notably substantial bumper and a striking dual exhaust tip arrangement. Additionally, a roof-mounted spoiler and rear wiper contribute to its rear profile. Moving to the front, one notices LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) positioned on the bonnet, with the headlamp unit located on the bumper, indicating a departure from the current model's setup. Moreover, the imposing central grille and sporty bumper design enhance the SUV's overall appeal, ensuring it commands attention on the road.
Expect interior enhancements in the MG Gloster facelift, including a revamped dashboard, an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system, and a refreshed center console. Taking cues from the new D90, potential features may include a repositioned gear selector behind the steering wheel, rotary dials for drive modes, and 4x4 mode selection integrated into the center console. Although the instrument console and steering wheel may retain their current design, anticipate new customizable options for interior themes.
