Royal Enfield Hunter 450: What Will It Look Like?
As visible in the spy photos (source), the Hunter 450 will be the second roadster bike in the company's portfolio after the Hunter 350. It'll get a neo-retro design to cater to young buyers. Also, the riding position on it will be a tad upright, along with an agile handling chassis. Therefore, the underpinnings will be carried over from the new Himalayan.
The spy shots showcase the round headlight and thick telescopic forks at the front. The test mule has black 17-inch alloy wheels while the single seat and sculpted fuel tank enhance its looks. The rear design has a similar tail as the new Himalayan with turn indicator embedded LED tail lights. The overall stance is also looking attractive yet nimble.
Engine, Specifications, Price, and Launch Date
The Hunter 450 will get the same Sherpa 450 engine as the new Himalayan. This liquid-cooled engine will be re-tuned as per the lightweight and different dynamics of the bike. Additionally, it'll be a high-revving motor like the Himalayan itself. Specifications will include telescopic front suspension, adjustable rear monoshock, alloy wheels, and a semi-digital instrument console.
The launch timeline for it cannot be predicted yet, but we anticipate its global debut by 2025. In India, it might launch by mid-2025. Moreover, it'll rival the Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna 401, and KTM 390 Duke; thus, its pricing will be somewhere around Rs 2.5 lakh.
Verdict
The Hunter 450 will be an expansion product of the 450 platform by RE. There are online rumours that RE plans to introduce up to 8 new models in its 450 lineup. Nevertheless, the middle-weight naked bike lovers will have yet another option with its launch.
